  1. hello, i am an AS music tech student and i have a question about the choice of artists. is the choice of songs up to me from the artist that i choose?

    1. Author

Yes but the song has to be commercially available, best not to go for something too obscure. It might also be best to talk to your teacher about your choice. With my students I choose the songs for them to record so that I can cut down on recording time and get the musicians prepared in advance. What song/artist are you thinking of doing?

  2. Hi,
I am thinking or doing a song by Ed Sheeran. So when it says commercially available, you mean one where the sheet music is available?

    1. Author

Hi, As long as the song in question can be found on a commercially available CD by the artist you are pretty much good to go. Which song are you thinking of doing?

  3. It says that no percussion is allowed but would that include tapping an acoustic guitar whilst playing? (Not recorded separately of course)
